We seek one community-oriented scholar, visitor, or professional to stay in each available room of our beautiful, furnished lower flat. Other people in this community are a seminarian from the US, an industrial engineer from Thailand, a law student, a PhD student in plant biology, and a massage therapist.
The flat has three bedrooms, a big, airy living room, nice kitchen, on-site laundry, drawers and closets for your clothes, linens, plenty of heat, plenty of light, and DSL. In addition, Room III is extra-large and has its own entrance. Each room is for only one person, so you share a bathroom with only one or two other people who keep it very clean, just as you do. Outside is a shared patio, and a park a few hundred feet away.
We live in a friendly, quiet neighborhood with an astonishing array of amenities. See this neighborhood map.
Ecological features include Energy Star appliances, zero-VOC paint, floors made of fully-renewable and warm bamboo, fire-retardant, yet zero-VOC, insulation made of used blue jeans, a dual-flush toilet, a pauseable shower head, dual-pane windows, allergy-free convection heaters, and tankless water heaters.
No cats, no smoking, leave shoes at the door. Prefer full-time workers or scholars, and people whose stays coincide with Cal's semesters/terms. Visitors to the Bay Area are welcome.
There is reliable on-street parking next to the house. Nearby are BART and buses. We are one BART stop from campus, and it takes me about seven minutes between campus and here by bike.
| For one term, the higher rent applies. For a stay of one year and beyond, the lower rent applies. |
Please tell me about yourself: for example, where you work or study, the dates you would like to stay (more or less), where you're living now, and so forth. To make sure I see your mail, please use the words 'MilTres Guest' in the subject of the mail.
Thanks!
